Things about The Outsiders people forget too often:
- Darry doesn’t smoke
- Tim has a giant scar on his face that runs from temple to chin
- Dally had light blond hair
- Soda had honey blond hair
- Ponyboy and Johnny were actually good at fighting
- The rumble in the story was the first rumble with socs they’d ever had
- Two-Bit had sideburns
- Two-Bit’s last name only has one t (Mathews, not Matthews)
- Steve went to jail once
- Ponyboy and Darry used to be close
- The Curtis parents only died 8 months prior to the start of the story

I understand that some of these are only in the book, and you can believe whatever you want to believe. These things are just (in my opinion) things that are important or stuck out to me that are often overlooked.
I believe that a handful of you know who I am in The Outsiders fandom. I have a strong belief that one of us is an extreme danger, and that is @cheeriocat. I know a few of you who have seen this user around, as I have as well inside the fandom (They have been a very big fan of my account, I am very grateful for that). Cheeriocat is only 13 years old and she has posted that she is running away. This is extremely serious and she is in obvious danger. She is not in an abusive home, she has made this very clear when I tried to talk her out of it for a few hours last night. She is suicidal and depressed, and has convinced herself running off into the night and living in an abandoned building is what will help her find happiness. I am sure that many of you realize HOW dangerous that is for anyone at any age. It’s cold out and the weather has been brutal all over this winter, that and taking in consideration how dangerous it is for a child to be walking around by herself in abandoned places (or hell even public places!). I would not be posting her business like this but the situation feels very out of control and dangerous, she doesn’t need to run away but instead to find the proper help for her mental state. I was once in her shoes, I was near killing myself at 15 (I can make a future post about that if it helps anyone) and I am living evidence you can recover from mental illness and work with professionals/support to make a comeback to a happier lifestyle. To anyone who actually may know more information about @cheeriocat and who she is, if you’re able please contact her parents because this is out of hand and could very well end VERY badly.
@cheeriocat if you are personally seeing this, I am truly incredibly sorry for putting your situation out there like this but you need to go home. Life has other options than struggle and pain, I’ve proven that with my own story. Go home, talk to your mom, work on yourself, the community has a ton of love for you.
P.S. To the people who reblogged her “running away” posts with fucking “stay safe” and “good lucks” What the actual fuck is wrong with you? Why would you encourage a CHILD to be RUNNING AWAY??? Without even getting a clarification on the situation? You only furthered an already bad situation into something a lot worse, you should think about your actions next time.
Update:
This is known information that I just forgot to mention, or that was brought to my attention.
1. plan is to backpack and bike around to an old military base in her town.
2. She has said she plans on hiding and shopping at the local target.
3.She has mentioned going to her local library to check on Tumblr when she needs to.
4. She has suggested that she might possibly destroying her phone or resetting it so they cannot track her.
